Customer Testimonial: Why We Only Install Festa, and Why Your Radon Company Should Consider It, Too
We’ve repaired and installed pretty much every brand of radon fan ever made, but these days we install Festa AMG Radon Fans exclusively. That has been great for business for one simple reason: peace of mind.
If you own a radon mitigation company, picking one manufacturer may sound like a plunge, but it’s the opposite. Standardizing the make has made our job much easier, because it’s allowed us not to worry about things that other radon companies burn a lot of time and energy on: the quality, the warranty support, ease of installation, and whether the customer will like the look and functionality. Because Festa Radon consistently delivers in those areas, we can focus more on the other aspects of our customer service.
Customers’ basic requirements tend to be pretty reasonable: They want a fan that will pump out the radon for more than a few years, they want it to be quiet, they don’t want it to be an eyesore, and they don’t want it to cost too much. Festa Radon always meets those criteria, but the reason we only install them is that they go above and beyond those basics, including in the following ways:
1. Festa Radon warranties their fans for 5-7 years, though we've found they often last much longer, with some units even lasting 12+ years.
2. Festa Radon stands behind its products. The support team is always responsive when we have questions, and they’ve always honored their warranty (on the rare occasion the warranty is put to the test).
3. In edge cases they help you pick out the right size of fan, so you’re not left wondering whether you paid for too much fan or didn’t get enough power. They don’t always tell you to buy two Cadillacs.
4. Our techs find them easy to install and easy on the eyes (one reason of many we don’t catch flak from customers). Because of the smooth installation and smooth aesthetics, we can go into each job knowing the customer will be happy, because our customers always are happy with Festa Radon fans.
5. Festa Radon offers many different options to suit any radon mitigation need, whether you need a speed-controllable model, a high-performance unit (i.e. one that will lower the radon levels much lower than what’s typically necessary), or another solution for your exact situation.
6. You buy them directly from Festa Radon, rather than rely on a third party to carry the products and subject you to spotty inventory or unreasonable markups.
7. Festa Radon fans are made in the USA (which partly explains the quality and durability).
8. The company is family-owned. Unlike a company that’s hostage to shareholders’ quarterly whims or private-equity cost-cutting schemes, Festa Radon plays the long game. If the quality or support ever got soft, word would get around quickly.
9. The company is big enough in the radon space to be around for many years to come. Nothing’s worse than when a product that works is discontinued or no longer supported.

Installing one brand has made us better at what we do, because we’re not reinventing the wheel for every project. If you install the same fan all the time, you learn pretty quickly what’s normal. In the rare event something is ever so slightly off, we notice right away. In general, the less that varies from case to case, the less that can go wrong. We can be consistent in our wiring method, mounting pattern, warranty conversation, and more. That means the only big thing that varies from project to project is the size of the fan or maybe the number of fans.
One point that’s specific to us, but may also apply to you: brand consistency makes soil inconsistency somewhat easier to navigate. We work in Northern Utah, where the soil is exceptionally tricky. The radon levels here are generally very high, but the character of the soil (especially its porosity) differs wildly from town to town and often even within the same town. Again, if you’re used to a certain level of performance, you know exactly what to expect and are in a better position to decide on the right number of pits and the right size of fan. Customers will appreciate your ability to pick out exactly the right solution, rather than almost the right solution.
Other companies do make solid fans. We’ve installed them, and we repair them all the time. You may find a fan that works well enough in each customer’s situation, but you won’t find one better than Festa Radon.
